Hi, I’m Deanna, a stay-at-home mom and Lakeland local who has found her passion in working with resin and preserving flowers. My curiosity in floral preservation led me to our local farmers market to purchase a bouquet. That night I went to work, breaking down the arrangement piece by piece. I’ll be quite honest, I had only ever seen videos of other artists preserving flowers in resin and I just jumped right in, not knowing what to expect with my first project. Needless to say, it turned out beautifully. Before I knew it, I was preserving full bouquets and capturing the beauty of special moments in a way that lasts forever.

Process

Drying flowers can take up to 6 weeks. Once they are completely dried out, I carefully place them into the mold of your choice and a clear, high-quality epoxy resin is poured to encase them. Multiple layers are poured to ensure a smooth finish! This process can take anywhere from 8-10 weeks to complete. I would love to help bring your floral memories to life!

Meaning

The act of creating these keepsakes for others gives me a deep sense of connection, not only to the flowers themselves but to the people who value them. It’s as if I’m capturing a piece of someone’s story and embedding it into a tangible form, offering them something they can hold onto—an enduring token of love, celebration, or even remembrance of a lost loved one. In doing this, I feel connected to the emotions tied to those moments, and in a way, become a part of those stories. It’s a beautiful form of artistry that intertwines my creativity with personal meaning for others.

History

I started working with resin and pressed florals in October of 2023, and what began as a fun hobby quickly turned into something more. My small business, A Hint of Resin, grew faster than I could have imagined. I’ve had the joy of creating unique products from jewelry to wall art, and so much more! What started out as curiosity has blossomed into my true passion—and I know now that this is my calling. In October of 2024, I decided to close the doors on A Hint of Resin and become Eternal Blooms by Deanna.
